Is the estimate builder really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, and your estimates and prices are stored only in your own browser.
Where do the quantities come from?
From the measurements in step 3. Shingles and underlayment use roof area plus waste, rounded up to the nearest bundle (a third of a square). Tear-off uses area without waste, times the number of layers. Drip edge and starter use eaves plus rakes, ridge cap uses ridges plus hips, and ice & water shield uses eaves plus valleys.
Does it include prices?
No. Material and labor costs vary too much by region and supplier, so every price is yours. It remembers them in this browser for your next estimate.
How do I get a PDF?
Click "Print or save as PDF" and choose "Save as PDF" as the printer. Only the estimate prints, not the rest of the page.
