We will not add for pitch.
Nothing added for waste for valleys, hips and rakes.
We will not use roll starter or ridge on rakes.
We will add ridge and rakes to our total squares. 3 bu of ridge or starter = 1 square

Select Detail Pricing
Open options from the toolbar by clicking this icon:
Enter the following:
Profit: .21 (21%)
Overhead: .18 (18%)
Payroll taxes: .48 (48%)
Roundup bid prices to next full dollar
Roundup material units to next full unit.

Enter the above name and information like this:
Be sure the add pitch checkbox is unchecked.
Select the Roof Area Option, then start entering your roof
area numbers:
after you have entered your roof area numbers select the hip option, then enter
all your your hip measurements, continue to Top Ridge, Rakes or (Gables), Eaves
and valleys. Tip (Pressing enter after each number moves the cursor
between the boxes)

from above. Click this icon to open: 

Your totals, Click this toolbar button to open: 

Next click this button to do detail costing:
This will open your detail pricing screen.
In your detail pricing screen click this button:
This will add your quantities from Job Cost and find your price per item in
your price list and add them to your Material Detail Price grid.
Notice the wording matches in your Main Screen Job Cost
Grid and your Material Detail Cost.
Important
To make this work, make sure the material descriptions match in your price list
and job cost grid. Read more.
Here we are assuming the items listed are in your material list.
Notice all the material units have been rounded up to the next full unit.

You can continue to add materials from your price
list, by clicking choices and they will be added to your Material Detail Cost.
The unit quantities will always be 1. Change the unit quantities to meet your
needs. In this example we are not adding items from our price list.
Add your Labor prices, notice the payroll taxes have
been added.
Before adding your gutter price click this button:
This will copy your price to bottom line. Now add your price for gutter.

Our final price, notice our bid prices are rounded up to the next
full dollar.

Click the save button on the toolbar and you have a saved estimate.
Now you have a saved estimate for 35yr and 50 year comp.
The name and contact information has been saved to your
address book.
Click the map toolbar button
and get an online map to the address you have
entered.
Click the email button and send these prices by email.

on creating work order.
If you are using Roofcalculator combined with Classy
Writer you could also create a Roofing Proposal, Invoice, Change Order, Certification
or Letter.
