the Spell Checker
Everybody makes mistakes. Even the most experienced writers with many published materials will confess that they are serial offenders. Each writer has a mistake, like a certain misspelled word or misused phrase, that shows up every time. Theer is no ecxuse for proposals wiht speling erorrs liek tihs. Your spell-checker will identify such words provided that your misspelling isn't another legitimate English word (like typing 'whit' for 'with'.) Computers don't speak English, though, so you shouldn't blindly trust your word processor's suggestions--you still have to know, for example, that the first word of that sentence should be "there," not "their." Consider this: You have presented a potential customer with carefully designed a very professional looking roofing proposal-contract. It contains overlooked errors involving spelling, punctuation and grammar. You have probably lost out on that job right then and there. The customer has decided that your lack of detail may be the same when doing the roof.Our new spell checker will find any spelling errors in your documents We have added new toolbar buttons for spell checking, undo and redo. Our spellchecker will scan your documents and find misspelled words and offer corrections. You can accept a selection from a list of suggestions, ignore or add the word to the spell checker dictionary for future use.
Be sure to proof read your documents, because a word is spelled correctly does not mean it is appropriate. See an example below. |
